  1. Seat down at the edge of the seashore. Feel the sand on your feet and get some on your hands. You are alive. Breathe it in. You are alive.
  2. Watch as the sun goes from the brightest of yellows, turn into a calm, mesmerizing orange. Funny how orange can be such a beautiful color, yet no one turns to even appreciate it. But darling, don’t worry. You are here and know that someone cares for you.
  3. Get your picture of your loved ones from your wallet. Thank whatever god or higher being you believe in for giving them into your lives. They have seen you change, just as you have seen the sunset change. And they still love you the same, just as you still love watching the sunset.
  4. Watch the mesmerizing orange turn into a pale shade of pink. Feel the beat of your heart slow down. The sun might be going down, but it will rise again soon. Love, you will rise again.
  5. Listen to the sound of the waves. In each splash as it crawls to the shore, give all of your worries to them. They will bring it to the edge of the ocean.
  6. Look at the sun. See it transform the sky from a pale shade of pink to a deep shade of purple. Soak in the warmth of what the sun has to offer for the day. Soon, the moon will suck in the warmth for its coolness.
  7. Look around you. See a family swimming and getting each other wet as the sun goes down. Smile at the time that they spend together, and mourn for the time that you lost.
  8. See the sun go under the water. The clouds change color as the shade of the sky does. All you see is blue turning into black. Cry for the days that were lost to anger, and for the time that was spent regretting. Time will not turn around for you. Neither will the sun.
  9. Stand up and breath deep. As the last rays of the sun disappear, give all of your worries, and get all of its luck the sun has to offer. They say the last rays of the sun are the most powerful ones. Take whatever you need and pray that it will last.
  10. Go home. Go to your family. The sun has given you its power. You will feel your heartbeat faster as the excitement to go home seizes you. You’re alive. And you might have fallen, but you will rise again.
  11. Remember the beauty of the sunset. A color can be so beautiful, yet so overlooked at the same time. No one will overlook you. You are not a sunset. You are not a color. You are you.
  12. Hug your family. Share the power of the sun’s rays with them. You’ll be fine. The sun will see you again tomorrow.
